happy holidays, all. :)

beneath the cut... a brief history of my hair. i'm trying to decide if i want to chop it off again (it's growing out of an aeon flux-like cut) and give it a fresh start or let it grow and put some colors back in. naturally, my hair is a medium to dark brown. it's currently dyed black. it's in an awkward stage that i feel is making my face look rounder than it is, and of course the first instinct is to cut it so it doesn't look that way to me.

please help a very, very indecisive person!

i've thought about blond again, but it really just doesn't suit me or pop the way i like. i could do platinum, but if i'm doing that from black i think i should just chop it and start over, from my natural hair color, in a few months. i also really like my hair black, with the wild colors. so i'm torn.

what do you guys think?

Hai gaiz! Well incase you don't remember me. I'm the girl who throughout the year posted several entries regarding my desire to dye my hair blue. After alot of great help from the members of this community I was able to get great advice and eventually went through with my plan. Aside from the fact that everything my hair comes in contact with turns blue, i'm trumendously pleased with the outcome!  Take a peek ;P )

Official 16 Wash Timeline

As most of you know, because I've posted many entries in different communities, I recently dyed my hair pink, blue and teal. The first time I used Paintbox by Fudge, Xtremerz by Tessa and Punky Colours (also known as Directions) Turquoise mixed with a bit of Lagoon Blue. Paintbox and Xtremerz both started fading right away.

The second time, I used SFX Atomic Pink, SFX Blue Velvet and SFX Fishbowl mixed with Punky Colours Lagoon Blue. Since every other colour faded quicker than the Punky Colours, it was still turquoise when I redid it. Also, I want to note that my hair was still orange from the previous dye when I redid it.

Because SFX Blue Velvet is so dark, it made my hair purple (where it should have been pink) but became more pink with each wash.

This is the first time I dyed it:

SFX Blue Velvet - 16 Wash Timeline

It's quite dark at first, but it's perfect if you don't want to dye your hair often but you want blue.

This one's REALLY dark at first, almost black, but after a couple washes it starts to lighten up and a brighter blue comes through. It gets brighter and more beautiful until it eventually turns purple, throughout the span of two months. What happens after that, I don't know yet, but when I do I'll post pictures.

My hair is 3 colours (top: SFX Atomic Pink, middle: Blue Velvet, and bottom: Fishbowl mixed with Lagoon Blue. I dont think the bottom layer would be so beautiful still if I hadnt have used Turquoise and Lagoon Blue previously. It was barely faded when I redyed it)

But right now I'm focusing on SFX Blue velvet.
